Guru PVS Jagath eesan(musicologist) Secretary Sri Sai Natyalayam(Since 1950) Guru Sri p.v.s.jagath eesan is a performing and teaching music for past 22years and he is the son in law of the founder of the institution M S Ramaswamy Pillai And presently the secretary too. His wife Guru aadal kalaimani smt j. Vijayamohana is teaching barathanatym and director of the institution. Sri p.v.s.jagath eesan is teaching MIRUDANGAM,TABLA,PAKAWAJ,KEYBOARD,HARMONIUM,GUITAR,MANDOLIN,SITAR,DRUMS,THUMBA,TRIPLE KANGO,BANGOES,RHYTHM PADS ,and drums. He is a performing artiste in mirudangam and tabla for barathanatyam recital for the past 20 years,he has accompanied more than thousands of barathanatyam recitals. Some important legends which he had accopmpanied is smt Anith ratnam , venniradai nirmala, Kumari radha, sri.Parvati ravi kandasala and many more, he got an great opportunity to accompany the violin maestro Lalgudi sri Jayaraman’s Jaya Jaya devi wonderful dance ballet and got a great review in Sunday times of India Bombay edition September 24 1995. He has performed in all the sabhas in India. He has also written and composed varnams, padams,thillanas for barathanatyam which has presently danced by many artiste. He has also written the dance drama SUBRAMANYAM SUBRAMANYAM SHANMUGA NATHA SUBRAMANIAM which has sponsored by Tamil Nadu IyaL ISAI NATAGA MANDRAM and staged at museum theatre Chennai and dance was performed by Mrs sinduri barathanatyam dancer. He learnt mirudangam from the great mirudangam legend kalaimamani late V P Ramados and contined from kalaimamani thanjai a natarajan(presently the principal of Government music college Adyar) and continued learning from kalamamani Nellai D Kannan, learned tabla from vastaad late dhyanandh prabhu, leaned guitar from Mr..DAVID,and sitar from the great guru Z.M.SALEEM.and god has given him many great legends and gurus to tune himself as a good artiste and teacher, Presently he his teaching more than 200 students from the age of 3 to 65 in various musical instruments and also taking classes at ranjani sabha nanganallur for the past 12 years he has given many performances with his students.. he Also worked as a music director to create an audio to ramachandra mission porur. called[AAFTABE MARFAT], And also performed in many devotional audios recordings.this concert will witness his devotion towards music.thank you all.
